Seven months ago me and my husband got our second child and we were so happy. My husband is a real gentle man and he has always been very kind to me. He has always supported me and when I said I looked fat he would say things like "it doesn't madder how you look, I'll love you anyway" and other things like that to get my in a good mood again. However, after I gave birth to our second child in three years my belly wasn't as flat as it used to be and my breasts aren't as firm as they used to be either. Even if my man said it didn't matter to him, it DID matter to me!
Getting Rid Of Stretch Marks - Nah... Is it possible, Really?
I noticed that I had got a lot of stretch marks on the lower part of my stomach, between my breasts as well as at the upper parts of my breast. I also had got drier skin with a lot more redness. After talking with other mothers it came to my attention that a shocking percentage of the moms I talked to also felt that the stretch marks embarrassed them. We thought there had to be a way we could be getting rid of stretch marks... But how?
We decided to meet over at Ann's place for some wine and crackers to discuss what could be done. Vivian had already spoken to her doctor but he couldn't do much for her. It's just the way the body works he said...
I arrived at Ann's beautiful mansion on a grey August evening and when I got there, the five other women had already gathered. Inside, they were blabbering on like only women can, and the French Merlot was already on the table. Me and a few others were still breastfeeding so we stayed off the wine and had to enjoy crackers with water instead. Sorry us :) After eating, we sat down to do some research and find out what could be done to getting rid of stretch marks. Ann opened up her laptop and we began searching the web for solutions. We saw a lot of creams and a lot of "home remedies." How could we find the right product or method in order to put an end to our stretch marks in this jungle of products, tips and solutions? It was hard...
Getting Rid Of Stretch Marks - Selecting Your Method And Budget
First, we started by breaking the various products and advices into categories. We came up with the following four categories of products and methods to help us getting rid of stretch marks:
- Prescriptive Creams and Pills
- * Non-prescriptive products like creams, dietary supplements and pills
- Home remedies and DIY tips like drinking green tea, making your own creams etc
- Information products with either info on home remedies or a mix of home remedies and other suggestions.
Now, we had to find out how much, if any, we were willing to spend in order to be Getting Rid Of Stretch Marks. There were free tips and there were products ranging from $29-299! What should we choose? What would be a realistic budget for this? We ended up trying various methods. What we did was dividing different products between us.

Getting Rid Of Stretch Marks - Results Phase One
What started as a joke, more or less, had evolved into a "serious" study to find a product that actually could help other women not only get a brighter and better looking skin but actually get rid of those ugly stretch marks that everybody said we couldn't get rid of. When we met again two months later, some of us had started seeing some results.
The free tips and ideas that we found on the net, and that Jackie tested, had not given any visual results. The tips was more or less about using Lemon Juice, drinking water, using a mixture of herbs and green tea etc but even though it may work for some, Jackie had not seen any results. Her stretch marks were all there.
My mom said the easiest way getting rid of stretch marks was to use lotion. You need to keep your skin flexible and soft so that it allows to stretch and shrink. However, this only works for some and you need to have used lotion in the time you were pregnant, I believe, in order to avoid the stretch marks in the first place. The cream Ann got from her pharmacy was some kind of lotion actually, and frankly it did make her skin softer but nothing more than that. Ann is also the oldest one in the testing group and I have a theory that the older you are, the smaller chances you have to remove stretch marks with regular creams and lotions.
Vivian’s' doctor recommended cream showed good results in terms of making or skin softer and more flexible but her stretch marks remained more or less the same. Also, this cream is a three to six months cure and at almost 170 bucks a month that is pretty costly. Maybe results will come later down the track... who knows.
The herbal pill that Claudia tested showed interesting results. First of all it was easy to use, just two pills a day 15 minutes before dinner, but they tasted bad! :) And actually this was one of the better products we tested. Her skin became softer already after three weeks and her stretch marks became fewer, or at least harder to spot, after around six weeks. It will be nice to see if this pill can remove all of her stretch marks or not. It is a dietary supplement meant to go on for at least four to six months.
The herbal cream solution that I tested…. I loved it! I love it and I still use it. At first I was very skeptical but after using it for a couple of days my skepticism disappeared like dew in the morning sun. I can clearly remember getting out of shower that morning, getting ready for work and how soft my skin felt once I put on the moisturizing cream. My stretch marks didn’t disappear at once but my skin became a lot more elastic within only a few days and within two weeks my skin started to regenerate and I could see that some of my minor stretch marks were almost gone. Now, two months later, almost all of my stretch marks are gone! I cannot believe it. I am going to use this cream - Revitol Anti Stretch Mark Cream - until all my stretch marks are gone and maybe even after that, simply because it feels so good on my skin and it feels like my skin is becoming a lot more flexible and stronger. The cream is an all-natural cream with vitamins, Squalene oil, Aloe Vera Extract and Grapefruit Seed Extract as some of the key ingredients. Looks like the best way of getting rid of stretch marks from the ones we have tested so far.
::IMPORTANT UPDATE::
In order to stay out of legal trouble I had to had to remove the name of the products that we didn’t find satisfying, as we “couldn’t document our findings in a clinical way”. That’s just too bad because we hoped we could help other women - and men - finding the right solution. This does, however, not stop us from giving you a recommendation and as I said above the cream from Revitol was super duper. Now, three months after I made this website, also Vivian and Ann has tested this cream with Amazing Results! Feel free to give it a try….
